Day 01: Kathmandu to Nagarkot

Morning: Start your journey early in the morning from Kathmandu, driving towards Nagarkot (27 km / 16 miles away, approx. 1.5-hour drive). Enjoy the scenic route with views of lush hills and distant mountain ranges. Arrive at Nagarkot, a peaceful hill station that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Check in to your hotel and freshen up. Spend your day exploring Nagarkot and taking a short hike around the nearby hills to enjoy the serene atmosphere. Rest at your hotel and prepare for the early morning activity. Enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Himalayas, with panoramic views of the Annapurna, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal, and even Mount Everest on a clear day. Stay overnight at a hotel in Nagarkot, preparing for an early rise to catch the sunrise.

Day 02: Nagarkot to Kathmandu (via Changunarayan & Bhaktapur)

Wake up early and head to the Nagarkot viewpoint to witness a stunning sunrise over the Himalayan ranges. Capture the spectacular views of Mount Everest, Annapurna, and more while savoring the peaceful morning atmosphere. After breakfast, drive towards Changunarayan Temple (45-minute drive from Nagarkot). Walk through scenic villages and forested paths as you approach the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Changunarayan Temple, which dates back to the 4th century and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Admire the pagoda-style architecture and ancient sculptures. Proceed to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site (approximately 20-minute drive from Changunarayan). Explore the ancient city of Bhaktapur, famous for its well-preserved temples, courtyards, and traditional Newari culture.
